Susan T. Mattero
Development Coordinator

Two weeks after graduating from Springfield High School in 1979, Susan started her career as a sales assistant with Merrill Lynch in Philadelphia and quickly worked her way up. She went on to work at Legg Mason, where she served as an assistant to the top sales representative and ran the municipal bond desk. Next, she was offered another position with Merrill Lynch in Media, Pennsylvania, where she worked with Jim Hemphill. And working with Jim would bring her to TGS Financial Advisors.

Susan served as TGS’s operations manager when the firm was founded in 1990. She temporarily retired in 1995 when her son, Charlie, was born, but returned to the firm in 1998.

After earning her Pennsylvania insurance license she began to support the firm’s investment advisors efforts to provide their clients with insurance and annuity planning by processing insurance paperwork and providing general client facilitation.

In her current role as development coordinator, Susan is responsible for managing all aspects of TGS’s professional relationships with certified public accountants and attorneys.

A native of Springfield, Pennsylvania, Susan currently resides in Milmont Park with her husband, Charles, who has worked at Kimberly-Clark in the Scott Tissue department for more than 20 years. Their son, Charlie, is an avid guitar player and interns with TGS each summer.

In her spare time, Susan enjoys archery and spending time outdoors with her family and their beagle, Snoopy.
